LIVING COMMUNITY OF ST. JOSEPH TO APPLY FOR RCF II LICENSURE

St. Joseph, MO – The Living Community of St. Joseph has been approved to apply for Residential Care Facility II licensure for their Assisted Living Residences. The facility will then be surveyed by the state of Missouri to demonstrate compliance with licensing standards for administration, personnel and resident care.

“We can better serve our communities’ needs with this added feature to our facility,” said Christine Kerns, Administrator/CEO of Living Community. “We have found that some long term care insurance policies will pay for assisted living if the facility is a residential care facility II.”

The licensure allows for protective oversight, administration of medications and personal care for residents.
The Living Community of St. Joseph is a Member Organization of the non-profit Benedictine Health System, a nationally recognized leader in providing services and care for senior adults. The Living Community of St. Joseph features 49 senior apartments, 32 assisted living residences and a 96-bed skilled nursing care unit.
